Functional Neurology

At Glynn Chiropractic, we utilize cutting-edge equipment and comprehensive assessments to gain a functional understanding of the complexities of the nervous system. Our unique approach allows us to create individualized treatment plans, precisely tailored to each patient's specific needs.

Our comprehensive assessments incorporate an array of tests that evaluate multiple aspects of the nervous system, such as the vestibular system, eye movements, auditory system, proprioceptive and reflexive systems, sensory system, brain processing/modulation, reaction time, neuro-cognitive skills, span of recognition, eye-hand coordination, and autonomic function, among others. By combining these tests, we can obtain a thorough understanding of your nervous system's status and pinpoint any deviations that may be negatively impacting your brain and body function.

Our focus is to enhance brain efficiency and plasticity by providing targeted therapies based on the information gathered through our advanced assessments. We will design a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique needs, with the goal of improving overall health and well-being. Join us at Glynn Chiropractic, where we use up to date research and clinical experience to provide personalized care that promotes optimal brain and body function.

Senaptec Sensory Station Assessment and Training

Strobe Training

The Senaptec Strobe training eyewear is designed to help you process vision faster and more efficiently. This provides a unique edge for athletes to perform at a higher level more consistently and with better decision making. Most athletes notice improvement after one 15-minute session. As the lenses flicker on and off, it is harder to process information, which helps the brain focus on visual tasks. The resulting heightened vision capability can improve one’s eye-hand coordination, movement, balance, and reaction time.

Strobe Training Can Improve:

Focus - Keeping the eyes on the ball through completion of a task
Timing - Accurate and precise reaction timing
Visualization - Tracking of objects in the mind’s eye
Quickness - Quick and accurate execution of a movement
Peripheral Vision - Awareness of your surroundings
Balance - Ability to keep your body in a stable position reference.

REVOLUTIONIZING HOW YOU TRAIN WITH FITLIGHT

FitLight® is an advanced wireless training system that utilizes patented light sensors and custom training programs to challenge users with engaging and powerful tasks. Its design aims to train both the body and the brain, improving various neurocognitive attributes such as reaction time, mental accuracy, and sensory processing.

By using FitLight®, individuals can improve their ability to connect visual information received by the eyes to the brain's processing of that information, and then translate that information into motor responses. This process is essential for everyday activities such as sports, driving, and even walking.

In a functional neurological sense, FitLight® can be used as a tool to enhance various aspects of human performance, including coordination, attention, perception, and motor skills. By challenging the neural connections between the visual, cognitive, and motor systems, FitLight® can facilitate the development of more efficient and effective neural pathways. This can result in improved athletic performance, better academic or work performance, and even enhanced quality of life.

FITLIGHT® FOR:

VISION THERAPY

Established in 2011, FITLIGHT® products have been the leading edge in visual, cognitive and dynamic training and testing from day one.

Our products use state-of-the-art hardware and software to facilitate the improvement of users Visual Motor Reaction and Neuro-Cognitive skills. FITLIGHT® allows for fully customizable protocols with data capture and cloud based analytics. Add this to the options for customization in terms of size and scale and you have a highly complementary platform which to help develop skills for a wide variety of users.

FITLIGHT® FOR:

NEUROCOGNITIVE THERAPY

Challenges in sensory processing are common amongst individuals with cognitive related disorders. Training with light and sound stimuli offers stimulation to those with difficulties in sensory processing.

FITLIGHT® provides a new, dynamic and visual learning framework to enhance sensory and motor skills, identification and focus, and reactivity.

It allows users to engage in functional and social learning by providing motivational exercises for the enhancement of mental capacity, perception, and concentration.

IMPROVE KEY METRICS

The FITLIGHT® system is perfectly suited for any training or physical exercise with metrics to create performance benchmarks. The system’s flexibility allows you to create individual routines, applicable fitness conditioning, or sport specific programs for both athlete and trainer, while sports analysis capabilities brings awareness to the athlete’s current form and allowing them to create tangible goals to improve.

Neuro Sensorimotor Integrator

The programmable instrument offers activities to address: Pursuits, Saccades, Eye-Hand Coordination, Visual Reaction Time, Speed and Span of Recognition, Visual Balance Integration, Ocularmotor Skills, Visual Motor Skills and Neuro-Cognitive Skills.

13 Categories offering
40 Activities including:

• Eye Hand
• Saccades
• Custom Tracking
• Auditory Visual Timing
• Tachistoscope
• OptoKinetics
• Visual Motor

FITLIGHT® FOR:

REHABILITATION & PHYSIOTHERAPY

Medical practitioners, specifically physiotherapists, can use FITLIGHT® to rehabilitate clients from injuries as well as utilize the system for more complex diagnoses.

The lights can be positioned by the physiotherapist to improve range of motion, strength, coordination and proprioception of an injured extremity. By varying the position of the lights, the therapist can also target static and dynamic balance. The FITLIGHT® can be programmed to increase the repetitions as desired, and the degree of difficulty as the patient improves.

The data collected from the system gives the physiotherapist tangible information that can be used to increase or decrease the exercise load, and also assist in determining the rate of recovery. This is all done under the control of the FITLIGHT® program as defined by the physiotherapist for the specific injury or condition being treated.
